Nature is awe inspiringly brilliant. From the simple unicellular amoeba to tiniest insect to the largest whale, they are all fascinating, precious and irreplaceable. There is a natural harmony and rhythm – and the most incredible inventiveness.
Our every little pebble action can cause a ripple affect. Petitions and protests may draw attention and dissuade some from harmful actions, but it is our own personal, everyday actions, purchases – and discards – that have the real power and impact.

Experience with wildlife rehabilitation brought me into contact with all too many heartbreaking cases of how things, designed to make life easier for people, have such a devastating effect on the inhabitants of the natural world. The excessive use of plastics being just one of our many lethal legacies.
